1. Haemorrhoids

Haemorrhoids are one of the most common anal conditions. They occur when the vascular cushions naturally present in the anus prolapse or descend.

2. Anal fistula

An anal fistula is an abnormal tract that forms between the inside of the rectum or anus and the perianal skin. It may cause purulent discharge, local itching and/or pain.

3. Pilonidal cyst

Anal condylomas are caused by the human papillomavirus. They appear as whitish, raised warts and may cause anal itching, bleeding or pain.

6. Anal bleaching

Darkening of the anal area may be caused by hormonal imbalances, tight underwear, ageing, genetics, pregnancy or contact with sanitary pads during menstruation.
